Archives & Documentation:

The Thailand New Media Art Festival looks to empower and document new media artwork presented via the annual New Media Art Festivals and on a continuing basis into the future. The Festival provides a independent global presentation and networking platform, alongside allied activities.

A first of such allied activity is with The IDEA (Indian Documentary of Electronic Arts), an ever-evolving public archive of e-arts from all over the world. The IDEA is also developing a substantial set of features on the Festival for the upcoming The IDEA #7 CD-gazette.

In line with the above, the Festival provides an ftp site where accepted participants of Thailand New Media Art Festival 2004 are encouraged to upload documentation on their works. This database is shared online for the purpose of producing the Festival Catalogue in form of printed and digital media.

Electronic versions will be available for free download and other media can be purchased for the production cost + shipping only.

For technical and copyright information (before actual contributions can be made) please continue here  (instructions and password for uploads request per email)

Participating artists, who would like to have their materials considered for an independent feature on The IDEA #7, due out later this year, should alert Shankar Barua. To view the earlier gazettes go here
