Harald Lillmeyer
born 1959,
studied guitar at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen and at
the University of music and performing arts in Vienna.
Additional studies : "Contemporary Music" at the Musikhochschule in
Karlsruhe and "Contemporary Chamber Music" at the Folkwang Hochschule.
Concerts as soloist [Debut 1985, G.Scelsi: KO-THA, Wittener Tage für neue
Kammermusik, (WP of all three movements)], with the guitar-duo "Susanne
Hilker/Harald Lillmeyer", ensemble "GO GUITARS", "Trio ImPuls", as guitarist
of "Xsemble München" and as guest of the "ensemble recherche".
In the "SWR - Symphonieorchester" and the "Symphonieorchester des BR" he
played under direction of : Peter Eötvös (Stockhausen), Michael Gielen
(Boulez,Spahlinger), Martyn Brabbins (Neuwirth, Henze), Rupert Huber (Scelsi),
Lorin Maazel (Mahler), Sylvain Cambreling (Globokar, Barraqué), Peter Rundel
(Richter de Vroe), Daniel Harding (A. Berg), Hans Zender (B.A.Zimmermann),
Mariss Jansons (Mahler), Kent Nagano (B.A.Zimmermann) a.o.
1981 he was International guitar competition/Mettmann prizewinner,
1988 was awarded the "Folkwang - Förderpreis" with his guitar duo,
1991 the "Förderpreis" of the city of Munich as member of "Xsemble München"
and 2001 the "Music Scholarship" of the city of Munich with "GO GUITARS".
Recitals and concerts a.o. at "Schleswig-Holstein-Musikfestival", "Biennale
München", "Akademie der Künste Berlin", "Dublin Guitar Week", Tour to South
America (Goethe-Institut).

Since 1985 he was lecturer in guitar and new music at the
Richard - Strauss - Conservatory in Munich, since 2008 at the
University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
